Four Spas Kaga Expo : June 1st(Fri.)-September 30th(Sat.)
Kaga Four Spas are located in the middle of three prefectures of hokuriku region, Toyama Ishikawa Fukui prefectures named Hokurik 3(San) ken, Ishikawa prefecture known for Noto peninsula projecting into the Japan Sea, and Hyakumangoku castle town Kanazawa, Kaga Four Spas are about 40km south from there, from metropolitan area Haneda airport flight to Komatsu Just about one hour, from Kansai area 2 hours and 20 minutes by JR (Japan Railway), Year 2015 Hokuriku Shinkansen scheduled to open (Nagano - Kanazawa) resulting in about 2 hours and 30 minutes between Tokyo to Kanazawa. We look forward to the opening.
One of the three famous mountains in Japan “sacred Mt. Hakusan” has beautiful view. Mt. Fuji in Suruga, Mt. Tateyama in Etchu, and Mt. Hakusan in Kaga referred to herein as the three famous mountains in Japan. Mt. Hakusan is located on boarder of four prefectures, Ishikawa, Fukui, Toyama and Gifu.
Kaga Four Spas are in south Kaga area with that peaks can expect a beautiful figure of a mountain like a folded screen. The people of the south Kaga revere for sacred Mt. Hakusan, they love the rich native place in gratitude to the grace with live proudly.
Each is unique, "Kaga Four Spas" grown by the grace of sacred Mt. Hakusan, Awazu, Katayamazu, Yamashiro, Yamanaka four hot springs ground in the small range of about a radius of 8 kilos
Awazu Onsen...like miniature garden surrounded by foothills mountain village.
Katayamazu Onsen...Developed into the shore of the Shibayama Lagoon.
Yamashiro Onsen...Overlooking country spreads out of the rolling hills.
Yamanaka Onsen…Open in the ravine (Kakusenkei) of the among the mountain.
Locations are different, even effects are "Four spas Four recuperates"Japanese onsen culture has enshrined Yakushi Buddha. In the background where hot spring continued springing out said "Yumori temple" may exist. Four spas each have the "Yumori temple" Awazu Onsen is the "Daiouji Temple", Katayamazu Onsen is the "Aizenji Temple" Yamashiro Onsen is the " Yakuouin Onsenji Temple" Yamanaka Onsen is the "Iōji Temple". Since ancient times, has been revered as the Buddha of medicine, "Yakushi Nyorai" are both enshrined. The exhibition is held in which many utilize local resources areas in the long history of Noto, Noto region (four cities, five towns) and the entire venue. Therefore not any special pavilions.
If we emphasize it and say, local festivals and events, and rich coastline on three sides surrounded by water, abundant seafood, the traditional craft work represent by Wajima lacquer ware, and country's leading Wakura Onsen hot springs, in addition, more than anything "Faith Guests" to entertain the people of Noto travelers called "hospitality", such as the Pavilion and the entire region attractive Noto with every single resource.
Noto area is few areas where nature still stays in our country which economic growth goes ahead through drastically after the war, and manners and customs stay, and the heart of the person stays. Absolutely this area is appropriate home town in Japan.
Noto in these areas, as baby boomers the driving force behind today's dramatic economic development, and the family layer of the generation to take Japanese development in the future, and beside casual everyday divergent fatigue, tomorrow revitalize, to heal the mind and body as well as such people are apt to forgetful it "home town" to remind.

[PLACE] Tanabata Bamboo decoration in famous sights and Yamanaka Hot Spring village, Yamanakaza theatre, Yuge road crossing, Hasebe shrine, Ayatori bridge, Kakusenkei River deck, Ryokans and stores in Kaga-shi Ishikawa prefecture.
[DETAILS] Yamanaka hot spring until about the Taisho era "Tanabata Festival" was held grandly. Far off from each town cut down and bring back a large bamboo, there is a custom competed magnificently decorated. Historic festival will be held this summer.

[PLACE] Ushitsu district Noto-cho, Houshigun, Ishikawa
[DETAILS] The Abare festival is held in Ushitsu district, Noto-cho this year.
50 several Kiriko lanterns about 7m high, parading through the town neighborhoods and turn around the Ohotaimatsu (huge wooden torches) and portable Shinto shrine thrown violently into the blazing torches and thrown in to the sea and the river may lose original shapes. This festival dedicated for God favorite to act violently, so that a portable Shinto shrine is almost broken.
The origin of festival started Kanbun years (1661-1672), when the epidemic in this area, Local people are praying for the coming of a deity Gozu Tennou (Guardian of Gion Shoja) and begin a grand festival, having done that, the blue bee change to divine spirit and rescued plague. They rejoiced and worshiped to Yasaka Shrine in carrying Kiriko lanterns.
Gozu Tennou is a syncretism with violent God Susanoono mikoto, assumed to meets divine will to act violently the festival named Abare Matsuri (rampage festival).

[PLACE] Nanao-Shi East district, Ishikawa
[DETAILS] Nanao Ootokonushi Shrine, another name (Sanno Shrine) is held “Nanao Gion Festival” The shrine's summer festival also known as "Ohzumi of the East".
12 Kiriko lanterns from 12 neighborhoods carrying on their shoulders, and they make a parade to each neighborhoods and receive a purification ceremony by a Ootokonushi temporary shrine in Minato-machi square from evening to around 8 o'clock p.m.
After purification, dancing in the square, around 10 p.m., head to the Ootokonushi shrine from Minatomachi square. Every set of Kiriko dances wildly heroically at Ootokonushi shrine precinct around 11 o'clock p.m.
Ootokonushi shrine is founded for guarding of Noto country in Nara period, an apportioned spirit from Sanno Shrine (Hiyoshi Jinja) traditionally know as old shrine.
In 1882 years have passed since Sanno shrine and Gion Gozu Tennou shrine (Yasaka-Jinja) were enshrined to Ootokonushi shrine.

[DETAILS] The guardian deity of the headquarters of Sōtō Zen Buddhism sect Sōjiji temple Soin (first temple） is the remains Kushihi shrine formerly, and origin of festival is that God in the said shrine visit for mode call at the Buddha of Soin once in a year.
"GOU RAI" wearing monkey face musk and serves as a herald with holding a club. By the festival which wishes perfect state of health also known as "funeral festival" or "GOURAI festival".

[DETAILS] The one as Hasebe festival is the festival which commemorates of Nobutsura Hasebe who has appointed to this place as the load of a manor by the order of Minamotono Yoritomo in bunji 2 years (1186).
Handmade "Naage souke" Mikoshi (portable shrine) leads and a samurai line parades.
A picture scroll is unrolled the elegant time, and Minamotono Yoshitsune, Shizuka Gozen and Musashibo Benkei as well as Hasebe Nobutsura ream attend a parade. Competitive of lights by a houseboat and offering lanterns afloat on the water is also attraction in the quiet wave Anamizu bay evening.

[PLACE] Shika-Machi Hakui-Gun, Ishikawa
[DETAILS] Many of men and women of all ages gathers in front of Sumiyoshi-Shrine in Horimatsu at night in July every year, and play at tug of war. The festival origin back in middle of Edo period, its state is folklore of a called Horimatsu tsunahiki (tug of war) festival. The state which splits up into Yamagata and Hamagata and pulls an outline of the diameter 15cm length 90m which wishes a big catch and a good harvest and pulls. The state to pull general rules against each other is excited to look, This unusual Shinto ritual is designated as intangible folk cultural properties in Shika-machi, it can be seen only in Shika-machi in Ishikawa.
■Iida Lantern Floats Festival (Iida Toroyama Matsuri)

[PLACE] Iida-Machi Suzu-Shi, Ishikawa
[DETAILS] The festival lantern floats where also come to height 16m and 8 floats of the Urushi lacquered and gorgeous decorations sent out to Iida town. A peculiar lumber-carriers' chant (KYA-RAGE) sounded through the town and brings out the feelings of the festival further. A float parades in the town until late at night. Also known as Osuzumi (cooling) festival.
