■City Kanazawa- New Year's parade of fire brigades

The New Year spectacular parade of fire brigades of Kanazawa held every year on first Sunday after January 5. Ladders more than 40 stand up by the firefighting team of the city, and heroic Kaga- tobi escalade to show the skill with a happi coat figure and naked drainage are performed.

■Exhibition of excavation and remains of Komatsu

The remains and the artifacts excavated for investigation in recent years are exhibited. As for the excavation, large-scale excavation with public works projects was performed before in the mainstream. However, the thought of the remains save is strengthened, and in late years small scale excavation with the personal housing construction becomes the mainstream after a turning point that the public works project is finished at the same time. To be this exhibition is from 2006 to the present and does it for the remains where a report is published. We will report quickly any kind of remains and the place of investigated and what kind of result is available.

■The star festival

[PLACE] Renkouji temple Daishouji Kaga-shi Ishikawa

Renkoji  is a temple of the Nichiren sect that Nichinen opened Tenpo era (1644) which is one of the Yamanoshita temple group in Daishoji. "The Star Festival" is performed every year on January 15. Priests as asceticism to dashed cold water from a head with a loincloth style and chant to a "Purification of the six roots of perception" "current of water liver sentence" and it is a festival to pray for staple grains abundant harvest and a perfect state of health. with drawn from the previous day at the precinct center and saving the 40 liters of cold water in barrel.

The believers of the prayer take water left in the barrel and, after a current of water, pray for peace and prosperity in the household. The asceticism is performed for about 10 minutes from 11:00 a.m.

■Winter Yellow tale festival in Noto-cho

■Fire Festival in Hanami

The children from a town put a fan (Oogi) top of the 2 m long bamboo stick and beat a drum and while singing a song and visited the houses in the town by family prosperity. Later they get snacks from change and they gather in the beaches around afternoon, and the enclosing rope and the New Year's writing are burned, and fortune telling bamboo stick falls down to the seaside for a big catch or fall to the mountain side is becomes a good harvest.

Noh "Kokaji"

An Imperial messenger Tachibana Michinari will visit Kokaji Munechika in Sanjo Kyoto and tell the order of the emperor who saw the spiritual dream with which forging a sword. An Imperial order was received, but Munechika goes and worship Inari shrine in a difficult situation of response absence. A child appears there. Virtue of a sword is told manner talks, and he promise the cooperation then disappeared into Inari shrine. Munechika who got the power arranges preparations for forging a sword of the Inari deity, usage, a soul of fox appears and it served as response admirably and forged an excellent sword Kogitsunemaru

■Stocking of the icehouse （Snow filling）

The pastime that gives poetic charm "Stocking (snow filling) of the icehouse" of the winter of the Kanazawa-shi Yuwaku hot spring was performed in the hot spring on December 30th. It was a plan to hold for the first time in an icehouse hut restored in the Gyokusen lake shore, but it was changed in the former hut of the Yakushi-ji Temple precincts and carried it out this year because paths of walk were able to be blocked by a heavy snow. In late years it was able to go ahead through the event to the unexpected heavy snow when the local person concerned worried about snowy security by a continuance in a mild winter "it was serious even over falling". 　According to association of Yuwaku hot spring tourism to sponsor, in the paths of walk to continue to the icehouse hut of the Gyokusen lake, the snowfall of the day after day increases a snow lay, and it is said that there is about 6 meters snow in a deep place. It was able to arrive at a hut approximately 1 week ago, but the snow removing did not catch up with it and gave up the enforcement in the aforementioned place.

The exhibition is held in which many utilize local resources areas in the long history of Noto, Noto region (four cities, five towns) and the entire venue. Therefore　not any special pavilions.

If we emphasize it and say, local festivals and events, and rich coastline on three sides surrounded by water, abundant seafood, the traditional craft work represent by Wajima lacquer ware, and country's leading Wakura Onsen hot springs, in addition, more than anything "Faith Guests" to entertain the people of Noto travelers called "hospitality", such as the Pavilion and the entire region attractive Noto with every single resource.

Noto area is few areas where nature still stays in our country which economic growth goes ahead through drastically after the war, and manners and customs stay, and the heart of the person stays. Absolutely this area is appropriate home town in Japan.

Noto in these areas, as baby boomers the driving force behind today's dramatic economic development, and the family layer of the generation to take Japanese development in the future, and beside casual everyday divergent fatigue, tomorrow revitalize, to heal the mind and body as well as such people are apt to forgetful it "home town" to remind.
